2. Using our website

By using our website, you confirm that you are legally capable of entering into a binding contract. You must not misuse our website, attempt unauthorised access, or use it in a way that breaches applicable law.

3. Product information

We take care to describe our jewellery and diamonds accurately, including specification details, grading information and imagery. However, photographs and screen displays may vary by device and lighting, and natural variation can occur in gemstones and precious metals.

4. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in GBP and include/exclude taxes as stated at checkout. Delivery charges (if any) will be shown before you confirm your order.

We accept secure payment methods as shown at checkout, which may include:

  • Credit and debit card payments via our payment provider(s)
  • Bank transfer
  • Digital wallet options (where offered)
  • Finance options (where offered and subject to approval)

If you choose finance, you will be provided with the relevant terms, eligibility criteria and total amount payable before you complete the application.

5. Made to order and bespoke work

Most Rafayel Diamonds jewellery is made to order. Lead times vary depending on design complexity, metal choice, diamond specifications and certification options. Any stated timescales are estimates unless explicitly confirmed otherwise.

Bespoke or personalised items include (for example) custom designs, engraved pieces, or jewellery made to a specific ring size at your request.

6. Diamond certification and grading

Rafayel Diamonds provides IGI certification as standard for qualifying centre stones. GIA certification is available as an optional upgrade for an additional fee. Certification availability can depend on diamond size, shape, and supply timelines.

A grading report is an independent assessment of a diamond’s characteristics. It is not an appraisal of monetary value.

7. Hallmarking

Where required by UK law, precious metal jewellery sold as gold, silver, platinum (and palladium where applicable) will be hallmarked by an independent UK Assay Office. Very lightweight items may be legally exempt from hallmarking.

8. Delivery

We deliver using secure, trackable services appropriate for fine jewellery. Delivery options, costs and any signature requirements are shown at checkout or confirmed with you in writing.

If you are ordering from outside the UK, you may be responsible for import duties, local taxes and clearance fees charged by your country. Where we offer duties-paid services, this will be stated at checkout.

9. Cancellations, returns and refunds

Your cancellation rights depend on what you order and where you are based. Where the Consumer Contracts Regulations apply, customers generally have 14 days from delivery to cancel an eligible distance order for a refund.

Important exceptions and conditions:

  • Bespoke or personalised items (including custom designs, engraving, and items made to a specific ring size at your request) may not be eligible for cancellation or return if the law provides an exemption.
  • Items must be returned unworn, in original condition, with all packaging and documentation included, unless the return relates to a fault.
  • For hygiene and safety reasons, certain items may have additional handling requirements.

If an item is faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose, your statutory rights apply. We will offer an appropriate remedy, which may include repair, replacement, remake or refund depending on the circumstances.

Refunds are processed to the original payment method once the return is received and inspected (or once the fault is confirmed, where applicable). We may ask for photographs or an assessment to determine the most appropriate solution.

10. Resizing and servicing

Resizing availability depends on design, metal and setting style. Some designs (such as full eternity rings) may not be resizable and may need to be remade. We will confirm feasibility and any costs before any work begins.

11. Lifetime manufacturing guarantee

We stand behind our craftsmanship. Our lifetime manufacturing guarantee covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

It does not cover:

  • Wear and tear over time (including scratches, dents, tarnish, plating wear, or natural patina)
  • Accidental damage, misuse, loss, theft, or impact damage
  • Work carried out by third parties, including repairs, resizing or alterations by other jewellers
  • Stone loss caused by heavy wear, snagging or impact (insurance is strongly recommended)

12. Jewellery insurance

We recommend insuring fine jewellery against loss, theft and accidental damage. We can provide documentation suitable for insurance purposes, including diamond certification details and purchase information.

13. Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to the above, we are not liable for losses that are not reasonably foreseeable, or for business losses where you are purchasing as a consumer.

14. Intellectual property

All content on this website, including images, text, designs, logos and trademarks, is owned by or licensed to Rafayel Diamonds. You must not copy, reproduce or use it without permission.

15. Complaints and dispute resolution

If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to resolve it promptly and fairly.

Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) may be available where appropriate. We will tell you if an ADR option applies to your complaint and how to access it.

Note: The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform has been discontinued. If you are an EU customer, you may still have access to local consumer redress options.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also benefit from mandatory protections under the laws of your country of residence.
